Station town stories in Tommerup ST

February 22:

Station town stories in Tommerup ST. Meeting point: Tallerupskolen

When the Queen Louise Railway, which ran between Nyborg and Middelfart, was built on Funen in 1865, it did not go into the town of Tommerup, even though the town was then a relatively large village. The station was built on Bågegård's land after a watermill on the farm was demolished to make way for the station. However, the station was still named Tommerup Station because Tommerup was the closest village to the station. Join us on an exciting walk in the station village.
